As a wedding photographer, I always get excited when I am invited to shoot in a venue that is new (or new to me)! The Triangle has SO many gorgeous places to get married or hold an event that sometimes, it’s hard to choose which one is right for you. This year, I am going to be highlighting some of my favorite venues and fabulous vendors in a weekly post. Last fall, I was invited by my pal and fellow photographer, EmilieCarol, to tag along for a beautifully styled inspiration shoot at The Stockroom at 230. Kristen of Ivory and Lace Events was moving to Dallas, TX the VERY NEXT DAY but wanted to go out with a bang, so she pulled together amazing details for a shoot on a rainy afternoon in Downtown Raleigh. The Stockroom is simply an amazing venue. Located in the heart of downtown, it completely embodies the urban loft feeling that so many Raleigh Brides are going for. From the exposed brick walls and worn hardwoods to the huge windows, this venue could be decorated in almost any style, or stand beautifully on its own. The space lends well to both formal and casual affairs. But the part I love most, the part that gets my little photographer heart pumping is The Glass Box. This space, located upstairs from the main area, is exactly what you would envision from its name. A room flooded by light from 3 walls of floor to ceiling windows. If you are looking for a space that is intimate, modern, and chic, your search is over. Even on a dreary day, you can’t help but feel good about a space like this. Everything in this space is bathed in light and accented with gold and modern furnishings I literally think it would be impossible for a bride or event to NOT be amazing in this space! Thank you EmileCarol and Kristin for allowing me to tag along for this shoot. Thanks Mollyann (Event Coordinator extraordinaire) for your hospitality!   Do you have a unique wedding venue you would love to see featured? Let me know about it in the comments!!
