Finding Balance | Work Flow Wednesday | Raleigh Wedding Photographer 15


Last week, I had the pleasure of traveling from my home base as a Raleigh Wedding Photographer to our nation’s capitol to teach small business Lady Bosses from around the country my formula for finding balance in this small business of mine. I love being able to mentor other business owners and I try my best to be as authentic and transparent as possible when I do.

I’ve always been passionate about mentoring and teaching and was so excited to be invited by the founders of Pretty + Profesh to teach at a recent conference they hosted in Washington, DC.  The Pretty + Profesh community is an exclusive group of over 25k womeneurs who gather daily via social media to connect, share ideas, ask questions, network, uplift, and refer business. I really enjoy this community because, unlike most social media communities that I am a member of, this one isn’t just wedding professionals, but female business owners from every corner of business that you can imagine.

Over the past few months, I have been intimately engaged with this community and have learned so much about parts of my business that I had never even thought of before. Recently, I got to sit down with Michi Moore, one of this amazing community’s founders, for an interview (seen here), and I was so thrilled to dive in deep and share the story of my journey to full-time entrepreneurial-ship and how that road was paved with more than a few epic set backs. As with any good story (and I think mine is a good one), there is a happy ending.

Today, I am officially launching my educational and mentoring  series for small business owners and creatives based on things that have been wildly successful in my own business. Each Wednesday, I plan to share some of the information that I wish I had known when I was first starting out in hopes that someone will find this information helpful for building (or re-building) their own business practices.
